Account
Usage this billing period and account limits.
App volumes and agent machine disks share this pool. It is capped: a larger disk is refused, not billed.
Yours until you use it. Credit never expires.
Past your plan and any packs, your apps and sites pause until next month or until you top up. Nothing is billed after the fact. Configure a spend alert with innstance billing alert set --max <dollars>. This threshold does not stop spending.
Buying this much every month? The Studio plan includes 1 TB.
Max CPUs per app: —
Performance CPU is sold one machine at a time, on top of your plan. Each add-on's RAM is added to your pool. Traffic packs are the top-up buttons above.
This threshold does not stop spending. Check its status here or with the CLI.

Projects
Publish a page or documents in seconds — or see everything you've already got live.
Your site's address is built from its name and is assigned to you the moment you lock the name. Updating an existing site keeps its URL. Pages, apps and agents share one set of names, so a name is taken if any of them already has it.
A built website (a folder with index.html, its styles and scripts) is published as one .zip of that folder: lock its name above, then choose Update files on its row below and pick the .zip. Versions on a site's row lists its earlier publishes and makes one live again.

Agents
An AI assistant that runs day and night on its own machine and chats with you in an app you already use. Launching one is a short form — no terminal anywhere.
Your agent is fully working during the trial. If you are still on Free after 24 hours, its machine, saved memory, and stored keys are permanently deleted. Upgrade before its countdown ends to keep the same agent running with everything intact.
Onboarding
You're signed in. Here's the rest of the way to a live project.
Nothing to do here. This one's done.
Open the folder that holds your project's files in Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor — that's what "this project" means in the next step. Don't have a project yet? Just ask the assistant to build one first, then come back here.
Read and follow https://innstance.impossibuild.ai/skills, then put this online.
With your project open, paste this into the assistant. It reads what it needs and starts the deploy. A browser tab opens once for you to approve the sign-in — that's the only time you step in. Works in Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or any AI coding assistant. The deployment instructions teach it the full workflow.
The assistant installs what it needs and ships your project. When it's done, your project has its own web address you can share.
First time on this machine? Run innstance login once — opens your browser to sign in.
Using a web-based assistant that can't open a browser on your machine? Create a token in the API tokens section below and give it to the assistant instead of signing in.
# AI agents, bots, daemons, web apps — anything `curl | sh` installs $ innstance init --app my-bot --memory 1024 --min-machines 1 --storage local $ innstance machines secrets set OPENAI_API_KEY=@env:OPENAI_API_KEY $ innstance deploy --runner $ innstance machines console start -- bash # drive the install via console input/output
Already have a published image? innstance deploy --image <ref> skips the setup entirely. Full recipe: Interactive setup in the advanced docs.
Most people never need one. On your own computer, innstance login opens your browser and signs you in.
Copy this now — it is shown only once.
Point your assistant at with this token as its Bearer token. Settings for Claude Code, Codex and Cursor: Remote MCP.
Tokens are shown only once when created — we store a hash, not the token. Lost yours? Revoke and create a new one.
For a computer with no web browser, like a server or a virtual machine you connect to over SSH. Make a token here, then paste it there once.
innstance login --token -
Setting up an automated build? Set IMPOSSIBLE_API_TOKEN to your token instead of running the login command, and every command picks it up. (The current CLI also reads it as INNSTANCE_TOKEN; a CLI that has not updated yet reads only IMPOSSIBLE_API_TOKEN.)
read -rsp 'Token: ' IMPOSSIBLE_API_TOKEN; printf '\n'; export IMPOSSIBLE_API_TOKEN
Please do not copy ~/.impossible/credentials.json (%USERPROFILE%\.impossible\credentials.json on Windows, or the same file under .innstance if you use that directory) to another computer. That shares one sign-in rather than making a second, so logging out on either one signs out both.
Billing

Extra traffic is $5 per 100 GB ($0.05/GB), prepaid. Past your plan and packs, apps and sites pause until next month, never billed after the fact. Storage is capped at your pool, never billed above it.
New plans are on sale at the same prices.
